Every morning when we wake up, there is one question in our mind " has newspaper arrived ". Most of us are in a habit of reading newspaper in the morning. But have we ever thought how newspaper reaches our homes. How the people who deliver newspaper to us work. Just have a look at the work of these newspaper walahs or newspaper hawkers.
These newspaper hawkers wake up early in the morning say about 5 in the morning and reach at a selected place to collect their share of newspapers from newspaper agencies. Then they have to sort these newspapers according to their customers subscription say some customer may have subscribed to two hindi newspapers other may have selected two english and one hindi newspaper. They have to carefully deliver correct newspapers to every customer.
Newspaper hawkers have a very tough job at their hands. They have to deliver newspapers on time what ever may the conditions be. Cold weather, rain or wind storm, can not stop them from performing their duty. In the days when Punjab was facing terrorism, many newspaper hawkers were targeted by terrorists. But these brave people did not fear and continued to provide us their services. We salute these people. Can we think of a day without a newspaper.
